Прочитал внимательно статью, там, собственно, ничего против ваты не говорится - вот в конце заключение. Впрочем, высказанное в виде общих рассуждений, без конкретики. Жирным выделил непонятный мне кусок, видимо, там опечатка. "The real point of danger lies in the use of coat- ing materials, as final layers of the construction, which feature very low high resistance to vapour transmis- sion, as they can be met in some paintings and plasters. Given the fact that, especially in thermal insulating fa- cades, the external coating has to be water resistant and vapour aspiring at the same time, the appropriate choice of materials is crucial – and has to be carried out for the integrated solution which will be applied. Otherwise the danger of condensation occurring, especially in areas with a strong temperature drop occurring, like thermal bridges at concrete slabs, cannot be excluded."

Ну и с учетом того, что статью писали производители XPS, я вижу некий конфликт интересов )))
